 in response to bluestarsky...   Hi bluestarsky, I went through treatment for HCV for a year approximately 3-4 years ago. I was on FMLA in which my specialist advised that I may need to take off at any given time due to treatment side effects and may only be able to work part time. I was fired for not meeting my performance goals even though the FMLA info included the fact that I may have difficulty concentrating as well. I was unable to find legal assistance regarding this, but, I did collect unemployment benefits for nine mo's. During that time, I requested free treatment from the manufacturer of the treatment called Pegasys. They mailed the app to me. My specialist had to complete most of the form and sign it. I mailed it back and was approved for free medication for the remaining treatment duration. It was sent every month by Fedex. Have you contacted the manufacturer of your treatment? You should qualify for free treatment given your circumstances I did clear the virus and it was still non detected after 6 months and again after 1 year. Don't give up there is hope. I know exactly what you are going through and my prayers are with you. I am currently working and due to other med expenses and expensive med's, unexpected expenses and the economy, I have a negative balance in my checking account and my utilities are about to get cut off and auto ins canceled. I am so scared that I do not know what to do. If I can give you support or advice while you are going through this, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Are you receiving any assistance? I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I have a job and am currently in an emergency situation in which I will not make it to my next paycheck, electric, auto ins overdue and no money left for basic necessities. I do not know where I can get immediate assistance. I can not apply for payday loan as I have one outstanding I can't pay back. Are there any resources for immediate help in a situation like this? I do not have the time to apply for a grant that takes research and months to complete.

My electric is about to be cut off. Recent unexpected medical bills and using payday loans for this situation have put me in a negative balance and I just got paid on Friday, July 22, 2011. I have an outstanding payday loan that I can't pay back. I need immediate help, but, not through a payday loan co. Please help, I do not know how to obtain this kind of help. I just need it as a one time thing and need it now.
